Lizard Pushups: Setup
It's easy to spot lizards here in the southwest (and in many other parts of the country). If you keep an eye out, eventually you will see a lizard doing something like this...

Most of what we know about animal behavior has come from observant people noticing animals performing some action, wondering about it, asking questions about it, and using experiments to test whether different explanations are likely to be true.
