Information for the first day of class

1st Day, When and Where

The first day of class is Tuesday Jan. 19 at 9:30-11:45 in BSW 413 (Michod lab).

Assignment

Read preface and the first chapter of class text "Darwinian Dynamcis."

Send me an email message with the following information. Name, phone number, email address, reason for taking the course and what you hope to get out of the course, background in biology, genetics, and mathematics, interests and anything else you would like me to know about you.

Should you buy the text?

You can buy my book at the UA bookstore, but I will be offering to buy books using my author discount for students enrolled in the class. The price is $30.00 using my author discount (instead of the retail price of $45.00). You will be asked if you want me to buy you a copy the first day of class.

You do not need to buy the book, although continuous reference to tables and equations in the book will be made during lectures. Copies of the book are available in my lab (413 BSW) and in the reserve book room at the main library.
