FISHES OF THE AMAZON RIVER by Ray Troll

Scroll to bottom of page for lab information

Fun Fish Websites of one of my favorite group of fishes - Mudskippers (Tribe Periopthalmini)

Click here are some amazing Oarfish (Order Lampridiformes - this species is Regalecus glesne) - these fish have fantastic colors, are the longest bony fish and all lampridiforms have an unique jaw modification where the maxillae are not connected to the suspensorium allowing for EXTREME jaw protrusion.
