In the most general terms possible, I am interested systems,  whether they be biological or otherwise, that evolve in time.

I am interested in probability theory and stochastic processes as a tool to aid in the understanding of evolutionary phenomenon.

I am currently performing rigorous calculations of the extent of bias in the molecular clock and Ka/Ks due to the persistence of polymorphisms at short time scales.

In my free time I enjoy running, hiking, watching baseball and basketball, cooking, eating, reading history, and walking as much as possible.
