Undergraduate
I am an undergraduate studying biology, plant sciences, and Italian. I am joining the Masel lab as a research assistant who will work under the supervision of Jenny James and Catherine Weibel. The research focuses on the evolution of de novo genes and using simulations to assess how reliable sequence-based methods are to identify de novo genes. My interests span over all of biology ranging from individual microorganisms to population genetics as a whole. I hope to become a wildlife researcher in the future.
