Talking Caterpillars: Video TO1 (136 kb) The head of the larva is to the left. The tentacular organs (TOs) are the two small orange-ish objects near the end of the abdomen. The extrusion is brief and hard to see, but when one of the TOs hits the antenna of an ant, the ant suddenly lunges offscreen and then runs back with her mandibles open.
